Today we attempted to make clouds in a jar.  The students were given the materials to the experiment and asked to hypothesize on what the actual process was.  3 groups decided to try putting some hot water in their jar, adding the ice cubes and then sealing the jar.  The other 2 groups decided to add the hot water to the jar, put the lid on and put the ice cubes on top of the lid.  Neither groups were able to produce clouds, but one method resulted in much more condensation.  Which one was it?

The one with the ice cube on top made condensation.
